Kyrgyzstan, officially the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyz: Кыргыз Республикасы, Russian: Кыргызская Республика) is a former Soviet republic located in South-Central Asia. The country is known for its incredible natural beauty and proud nomadic traditions. Landlocked and mountainous, it borders Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Tajikistan to the southwest and China to the southeast. What would become modern Kyrgyzstan was annexed by Russia in 1876 and became an independent country with the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. It has the most liberal tourist visa policy in Central Asia and one of the more progressive post-Soviet governments in the region.

Day 2BISHKEK – BURANA – CHON KEMIN

 Embark on a city tour of Bishkek before traveling to the serenity of Chon-Kemin Valley.
 After, drive to village Chon-Kemin. Soak in the stunning scenery while exploring the village and savour

Day 3KARAKOL CITY - ISSYK KUL LAKE

 Arrival at Karakol city via Issyk Kul Lake, the second largest alpine lake in the world after Titicaca in South America.

 On the way, we will visit the Open Air Petroglyphs Museum in Cholpon Ata town.

Day 4KARAKOL – SVETLAYA POLYANA – KOK JAIYK

Trek from Svetlaya Polyana to the scenic and lush Kok-Jaiyk valley.

 After lunch, we descend the Kok Jayik valley by taking a side hike to see the waterfall – Devichi Kosy.

Day 5KOK JAIYK – KOCHKOR

 Drive to Kochkor town. A one-hour side hike at Skazka Canyon (Fairy-tale Canyon)
 The canyon, stunning in its array of earthen colours, also provides a magnificent view of Lake Issyk-Kul and the surrounding peaks of the Tian Shan Mountains.

Day 6KOCHKOR-SONKUL LAKE

 Drive to Son-Köl Lake, one of the largest alpine-mountain lakes in the country.

 After lunch, we will ride a horse along the beautiful lakeshore. Alternatively, for those who are not interested in horse riding, a simple stroll around the lake can be had. We will have the opportunity to sample fresh air an (yogurt) and kumis (the national drink of fermented mare’s milk).
